Top tips to prepare...
“Your choice of model will be just as important as the make-up. A model with a fair skin tone will be the most practical to work with and will achieve the best results, whilst making the process of make-up application much easier. Before you choose your make-up, try to view a picture of your model to ensure the correct tones for the shoot in hand”.
“Be sure to consult with the rest of your team about the concept and style of the shoot, planning your make-up accordingly and ensuring that you check your kit for all essentials that you may require”.
To get the look...
Create an ultra-smooth canvas for perfectly luminous make-up using LORAC aquaPRIME Oil Free Make-up Primer. This is a lightweight, water-based primer that moisturises and prepares your skin for long-lasting make-up. It’s particularly good for sensitive, oily and acne-prone skin: it hydrates and helps to diminish the appearance of wrinkles. Pump a few drops into palm of your hand and apply with your fingertips before your foundation. For best results, apply the primer to a clean face.
For the base, use Laura Mercier Moisture Suprême Foundation - the creator of the ‘Flawless Face’. Laura Mercier is the ultimate choice for your liquid foundation. This formula incorporates innovative ingredients that hydrate the skin and soften the appearance of fine lines for a naturally flawless look.
Conceal under-eye darkness, blemishes and other skin imperfections using ELF Cosmetics Corrective Concealer. Use the nude and beige shades to conceal problematic areas, the green shade to neutralize redness (like that of acne) and the lilac shade to brighten yellow tones.
Set your foundation with Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation (in Classic Ivory). This ultra-fine powder is made with 100% micro-minerals providing the finishing touch that sets and perfectsyour make-up with a luminous radiance. It leaves skin looking pure, fresh, soft to the touch and doesn't clog your pours.
For the satin pale lip, use the MAC Cham Pale Collection of Lipsticks. It’s available in 4 different and fabulously shimmering nude shades. You can choose the best shade for the skin tone and apply with a thick coverage to achieve the smooth, creamy texture.
Complete the look with a stroke of eyeliner to define the eye. The new HD Feline Eyeliner from Lise Watier is like velvet - go crazy with this liner to create an immense ‘cat-like’ flick or keep it minimal by applying a small amount, just along the lower lashline.
